May Music: Day Four

Yesterday was a weird day. Friday night, I spent an hour emailing each of my students' parents (I have over a hundred dancers!!) to say goodbye! I'm not leaving the studio until mid-July, but since many parents were already discovering my leaving by asking for my Fall schedule, I figured it was time to let everyone know. (Yes, I'm leaving, but that's a post for another day!) Anyway, the email meant that all of my Saturday parents were super nice to me and sad to see me go. And it also meant that I really enjoyed teaching all of my Saturday students (something in the brain about "only a few Saturday's left *sad face*"). The six hours of dance classes really flew by. Then, I hit the gym, and then I hit the hay.

But as always, there was music squeezed in there somewhere. So I thought I'd share with you the soundtrack of most of my days. Since I teach toddler ballet for the most part, if I'm not bumping the Royal Academy of Dance curriculum music, I'm usually playing this bad boy:

I'll often pick a track for class and put it on repeat, so I don't have to worry about the CD ending. Yesterday, it was playing "A Whole New World" for a few hours, only stopping when I changed to "La Chi Dorem La Mano" (on a separate CD, obviously) for our dance performance at the end of every class. Yes, you would think listening to Princess Lullabies all day would mean a super relaxing day, which is partially true. But it also really just means that as soon as I got off, I blasted this in my headphones so loud the guys lifting weights across the gym floor probably heard it.

Eminem ft. Nate Dogg: "Till I Collapse" (WARNING: language)

Happy (belated) Saturday!
