Planned Outtage

We're down the 11th hour over here in my world (is that even a phrase that people say? I have no idea), and the inertia of the past few weeks is about to be turbocharged into craziness. In fact, it's already begun. I've spent the past week (and especially the past couple of days) frantically packing up my life inconveniently into two suitcases. The real drama of packing, though, will come in a week when I return from a quick vacay to wash my last few articles of clothing and stuff them in my already zipper-bursting bags.

Saturday, my two best friends came over. They barely know each other, but we three musketeers had a fantastic (if a little strange) night of dancing out on the town. I love it when my own separate friends who don't know each other become friends. It was our last night together; all three of us are moving out of the DMV and onto new life projects. Regularly scheduled Skype Dates have already been discussed.

G.N.O.

Anyway, I'm leaving early tomorrow morning for E's wedding weekend, which promises to be hectic and wonderful. And the day after her wedding, the plan is to head to the beach for a week. We'll see if it happens. After the beach week, I will be sprinting for a flight to Ireland, and I probably won't be updating you all until I'm landed and calm (which could be a while; as you know, I don't do well on planes. If I don't pass out of a panic attack, I usually get dreadfully ill a few days after landing. Phew!) But you've been duly warned, Mr. Blogger. I will be MIA until further notice!

Happy end of summer to all! And see you in September. ;)

  1. I've 'moved' back and forth between the US and the UK about 3-4 times now and my advice is: space bags are your friend. Those vacuum-powered miracles are amazing....unless weight is a concern. But I'm a clothes-aholic and I packed an entire closet full of clothes into one jumbo-sized bag. Good luck, keep us posted!

    1. It is weight that's the issue, but that is a BRILLIANT idea! I can't wait to try it around Christmas time! Thanks!
