One Last Resolution for 2014

I logged onto The Evergirl the other day, which is a wonderful little website if you ever have the time to explore it. Many months this year (all the months with 30 days), they featured a #TEG30DayChallenge. These were all very sweet, from 30 Days of Social Media-Free Socializing to 30 Days of Budgeting for the Holidays. All wonderful, lovely little ideas.

They saved the best one of all for December. This month's challenge doesn't need to happen every day of the month, and it doesn't necessarily prepare us for any other month. This month's challenge is to accomplish one more New Years' Resolution.

It's absolutely true that as the year progresses, we forget our zeal for those staunchly-made Resolutions, though many of us joke from the beginning that we will never get around to the gym or go skydiving. But we still proudly make those Resolutions anyway. The last few years, I've actually made a conscious effort to make Resolutions that I will and can accomplish, which sometimes translates to Resolutions that are often either very vague or super lame things that I already know I'm going to do.

Let's take a look at what were my New Year's Resolutions for 2014:
1) Write my Higher Diploma dissertation and graduate.
Check! :)

2) Run a 10K
Meh :/

3) Travel to Scotland and Germany
Double check! <3

4) Learn to drive a manual car
Mostly check

5) Get a dream job
I got a part-time job! And I'm living the dream in grad school. That counts as a..
check? :)

6) Play a Chopin Nocturne
Only a precious goal for next year, I suppose :/

7) Compose more
Unfortunately, check! (For school)

8) Write more
Well, this blog has gotten a bit more love….
sort of check?

9) Make more time for friendships and relationships
Check! xx

10) Keep myself
Yup! Check x

And then there were the various goals and bucket lists along the way…

More than half of these were just leftovers from the year before, but I would like to proudly toot my own horn for a second *BEEP BEEP* and say that I accomplished most of them, in some form or another.

So here's to three more weeks to accomplish one more. Totes possible.

Good luck, y'all!
